Book Blurb from Goodreads:
The summer after graduation is supposed to be that first real taste of freedom - but not for eighteen-year-old Chloe Branson. Just as that breeze of freedom is making its way into her galaxy, her secret-service-agent dad drops a meteor-sized bomb of bad news on her and her sisters. An attempt has been made on the lives of Canadian boyband, Spaceships Around Saturn, during their USA tour, and the guys have to go into hiding ASAP. The only problem? In the midst of the crisis and media frenzy, their dad volunteered to hide the guys...in their house.
Six-year-old Emery is as ecstatic as any self-proclaimed Saturnite would be, but Chloe and her seventeen-year-old sister Aralie watch their summer plans crash and burn like a falling star. The SAS guys aren't happy with the situation, either. Bad boy Jules picks fights with Aralie about everything from his Twitter followers to his laundry, and heart-throb Benji can't escape Emery's fangirlisms for more than three minutes.
But after the super-cute Milo kisses Chloe during a game of hide-and-seek, she finally understands what Emery means when she talks about SAS being "out of this world." If this is what Saturn feels like, Chloe doesn't want to come back to Earth.
REVIEW:
I must say that this book is not what I expect it to be. I was actually waiting for aliens and abduction and such. But this is really just a contemporary book. I know, I read the blurb but still... Anyway... This book is funny, cute, and right for all TEENS and upcoming teens.

I have dreamed of meeting my favorite bands. I even fantasized about them liking me a lot or treating me like a sister they never had and make me feel so special every single time. I think I might be like Emery who loves them a lot, but then again, I won't be bothering them every minute about every thing. LOL.

Surprisingly, this kept me so entertained. It is fun to see a famous band with regular people, if you call Chloe's family regular. Hehehe. And the guys here are like the typical guys, different personalities but they worked well with each other. I love that they have Bromance too and that the guys in the band are not sissy about it. They actually make fun of it. They are not grossed out with it that fans are making up bromance stories.

That's what I learned from being a fan of bands. Especially J-Rock. They actually indulged their fans of their fantasies. Of the bromance, they are straight guys but for the fans they do "fan service" and try to flirt with their co-members in the presence of their fans. That's something I quite liked and loved. :P

I love how they eventually liked the guys, the sisters I mean. They initially are not really a fan but as they gradually learn things about the guys in the band, they developed camaraderie, they started to like each other for their own personality. They learned that there are things people really don't know much about the Saturn guys.

I think that is something what really made me liked the story. It is how I picture things would be if someone is stuck with people in a band. If they are a fan, they'd probably be like Emery. Lol.

Love the simplicity of it. And I am most certainly looking forward for the next book, if there is. I actually do think there is a sequel. Let's all wait about it and be Team Miloe. Haha! I just invented that. :3

REVIEW:
I really don't want to sound mean or anything... but the cover really creeps me out. :/ It's soooo weird. Like they just photoshop the head and put it there. It's not her head... >.< CREEPY. I hope the cover gets a make-over cause it's really not that good. Sorry.

Anyway, on to the review...

The whole time I was reading it I was reminded of Twilight. The first time Marjie met Kyran inside the classroom, it screamed Twilight to me. Up to you if you think that is a bad thing or not. But if you ask me, I'd say yeah a bit. I mean, it may not be the intention of the author but just a coincidence... Oh fine, who am I kidding? I don't believe in coincidences anyway. LOL.

I was comparing it to Twilight mainly because, the guy was like Edward where he couldn't be near Bella because of certain circumstances. And then guy treated girl like he was mad at her but really, he's not. Then the next moment, guy is back to being sweet with girl... Next up, both Edward and Kyran got family, siblings in the school. Well, community college in this case. Then, they both got nice big house in the middle of nowhere. Both towns are not that well populated. Okay, I could go on and on and on about it. But I don't think it's necessary anymore.

Main question is, did I enjoy reading it? Yes. I did. Some of it. Okay, it's not like Twilight where in like 20% girl knows that the guy is a vamp. In here it takes like 50% or something to out that Kyran is not human. The whole family of Kyran are not human. I was intrigued at how the story was created, by that I meant how the whole paranormal setting is. Not the love story which is good, but mostly about the world building.

It still excites me, making me want to know what will happen next to the story. When the book ends, I immediately went to Google and search for the second book. But I don't find any. Is the author still writing the second book? Cause I still want to know what will happen next. It doesn't have a cliffhanger as far as I could tell but you definitely will think, "Well, what now?"

Guess that's it. Great world building but the love story I wish is not something that would remind me of Twilight or any other books. But yes, over all paranormal world is really good.

Would I recommend it to my friends? MAYBE. Those who are Twilight fan, I guess.

Book Review: Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Title: Origin (Lux #4)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal, Science Fiction
Release Date: 27th August 2013
Rating:
Book Blurb from Goodreads:
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
All Katy can do is survive.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Together, they can face anything.
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?
And will they even be together?
REVIEW:
As I said... I do believe Jennifer L. Armentrout seriously hates us a lot. LMAO. And yeah, I am just kidding but hey, I'm just expressing myself. I was just saying (no I don't hate you JLA! I love you for bringing Daemon to life!)  it because I was left hanging there! I was like "OMG, what will happen now? Turn it to next page!" Then when I did, I see that friggin' ACKNOWLEDGEMENT making the book or the story TO BE CONTINUED until the next book. I mean, WTH, right?! >.<

Origin. Origin was so kick ass. Daemon was kick ass. Katy was kick ass. Everyone was kick ass. The book was so full of action, emotion and other things. No moment was dull. Every page shows strong emotions that made me teary eyed. Always teary eyed. I commend Armentrout for making me feel all those things in a book. I feel the fear of Katy, the rage, the love for Daemon. I could all feel it all the way into my bones. Call me cheesy but that was what I felt the time I was reading it.

Daemon was, how should I say it? Showy? If he's such a douche bag in other books, well, in this one, it was lessen but Daemon showed us different side of him in emotional level, if you get what I mean. I don't think what I am about to say is a spoiler because I do believe that we all know Daemon. He wouldn't leave Katy behind. He wouldn't let Daedalus have Katy and leave her all alone in there even if Katy doesn't want Daemon to save her. But we all know that what's going to happen before we start this book, right?

What the big deal about this all was that how would Daemon and Katy survived this problem, what was inside Daedalus, what it's all about, and how will they save themselves? Origin was definitely the best book in the series, action wise that is. There are lots of twists presented, you will never get bored by it... And I must definitely warn you, it will LEAVE YOU HANGING.

But all in all? I love the book. Yeah, nuff said. :)

Book Blurb from Goodreads:
Seventeen-year-old Joanna Murphy has lost faith in her life. Vying for her mom’s attention, she’s resentful of her stepdad’s intrusion to their family. Her best friend, Tommy, has no clue she’s in love with him as he dates girl after girl without noticing how it tortures her. The final kicker, though, is God’s sick joke to make her freakishly tall when everyone knows boys prefer petite girls.
Then in a bizarre accident Joanna meets James, a breathtaking teen who appears to her after an unusual falling star sighting. Suddenly, her dream for an alien encounter becomes all too real. But when she finds her life has been made unrecognizable, she’s forced into an explosive study of the original design for her life that just may have her regretting every wish she ever made.

REVIEW:
I was just epic-ally deceived. LMAO. First of all, Joana was obsessed with Paranormal stuff, most especially ALIENS. So whole time, I was like, "another alien book." But then... yeah, more like Contemporary with a twist of fantasy.

Did I like it? YES. I did. I don't like it at first because of how Joana was like before all the things happened to her in the book. She's a bit selfish. Well... Not a bit, she is. She's the type that is so self-conscious of herself. I do understand her reasons. It's just that it doesn't give her the right to act that way.

BUT... This is how a typical teenager is. And she is a teenager. So I am not really that surprised to see her like that. I just don't want to read girl MC is being absurd over small things. It annoyed me a bit but yes I continued reading and I like what I see in her. I like that she outgrow all those feelings. She realized what is important in her life. That every action she take will receive equal action, be it good or bad. In her case, it was bad.

So maybe I am spoiling it but hey, I just told the gist, right? lol. Not really the how and what happened. I am more focused on the character development. Which I might say is very good. Kudos to Caldwell! And... I am a bit sad it didn't continue with them... But glad of what happened next to her life. Huh, I'm being mysterious but well, you just have to read it. :) It got a nice lesson for all of us. Real life lesson. :)
